Palace Resorts: Punta Cana Trip in October 2014

In October 2014 our family visited Punta Cana in Dominican Republic. Punta Cana is a popular resort area on the eastern tip of the island. My wife's brother (Lars) and his wife Katie and their youngest also joined us. We stayed at a five star resort (owned and operated by the owners of Palace Resorts). This particular resort has been rebranded under the name Hard Rock. Some of the activities we enjoyed during our stay were the catamaran ride, Dominican country tour, scuba diving and snorkeling adventure. Lars and I also golfed at the golf course that is owned by the resort. It was a well-groomed and challenging course. The ladies had excellent spa treatments. All of the adults experienced short complimentary massages and also tried out the fantastic hydrotherapy pools, saunas and steam rooms. We tried almost all of their nine restaurants, which were superb. As Hall of Fame members, we were able to use a dedicated pool and had butler service. The resort is huge, but we were placed in a room closest to the ocean with a view over the pool. The room location was the best possible on the resort. We would definitely return some day to this great resort that had fine amenities and excellent service.
